Two Chords and a Fixed Slope Ratio

★ 8/10conic sectionsVieta's Formulas

Problem

Consider the ellipse x24+y23=1\dfrac{x^2}4+\dfrac{y^2}3=1. A line ABAB passes through the fixed point Q(−1,0)Q(-1,0); let P(1,0)P(1,0). The lines PAPA and PBPB meet the ellipse again at points CC and DD respectively. Prove that CDCD passes through a fixed point, and that the ratio of the slopes of CDCD and ABAB is constant.
