A Chord and a Diameter

Problem

Consider the ellipse G ⁣:x22+y2=1G \colon \dfrac{x^2}{2} + y^2 = 1. A line ll through the left focus FF, not lying along the xx-axis, meets GG at AA and BB; let MM be the midpoint of chord ABAB, and let the line OMOM meet GG at CC and DD.

1. If ll has slope 11, find the slope of OMOM. 2. Is there a line ll such that ∣AM∣2=∣CM∣⋅∣DM∣|AM|^2 = |CM|\cdot|DM|? If so, find its equation; if not, explain why.
