Harmonic Numbers and a Logarithm

Problem

Let f(x)=ln⁡(1+x)−x(1+λx)1+xf(x) = \ln(1+x) - \dfrac{x(1 + \lambda x)}{1+x}.

1. If f(x)≤0f(x) \le 0 for all x≥0x \ge 0, find the minimum value of λ\lambda. 2. Let an=1+12+13+⋯+1na_n = 1 + \dfrac12 + \dfrac13 + \cdots + \dfrac1n. Prove that

a2n−an+14n>ln⁡2.a_{2n} - a_n + \frac{1}{4n} > \ln 2.
