A Midpoint Locus and a Circle

Problem

A segment ABAB of fixed length 44 moves with its endpoints on the two intersecting lines x+2y=0x + 2y = 0 and x−2y=0x - 2y = 0 (one endpoint on each line). Let GG be the midpoint of ABAB.

1. Find the equation of the locus CC of GG. 2. If the two tangent lines drawn from a point PP to the curve CC are perpendicular, prove that PP moves on a fixed circle.
