A Bounded Quadratic Bounds a Line

Problem

Let a,b,c∈Ra,b,c\in\mathbb R, and consider f(x)=ax2+bx+cf(x)=ax^2+bx+c and g(x)=ax+bg(x)=ax+b, both on −1⩽x⩽1-1\leqslant x\leqslant 1. Prove that if ∣f(x)∣⩽1|f(x)|\leqslant 1 for all x∈[−1,1]x\in[-1,1], then ∣g(x)∣⩽2|g(x)|\leqslant 2 for all x∈[−1,1]x\in[-1,1].
