Rotating a Segment About a Point on a Line

Problem

figure

As shown in Figure 1, the line y=kx−8ky=kx-8k intersects the xx-axis at a point AA and intersects the positive yy-axis at a point BB, and the area of △AOB\triangle AOB is 3232, where OO is the origin.

1. Find the equation of line ABAB. 2. As shown in Figure 2, PP is a point on segment OAOA. Rotating segment PBPB about BB clockwise by 90∘90^\circ produces segment CBCB; segment PCPC is then drawn. Let mm be the xx-coordinate of PP, and let SS be the area of quadrilateral PABCPABC. Express SS as a function of mm. 3. Under the conditions of part 2, as shown in Figure 3, the extension of BCBC meets the xx-axis at a point EE, and DD is a point on the extension of EBEB beyond BB such that ∠ADB=4∠CPE\angle ADB=4\angle CPE. If AD+BD=BEAD+BD=BE, find the coordinates of DD.
